James M. Mwape Education Award
As we continue to celebrate and remember the life of Mr. James M. Mwape who is co-founder of the Mwape Peer Awards, we introduced an award in his name to honor him. He believed in education and supported a couple of young people behind the scenes.
We therefore, call upon our community to nominate young people in this category who will receive a donation to support their school needs. And we also ask well wishers to make a donation towards this award to help us increase the funds that will go with it.

Ruth and I would like to express our gratitude to all of you who attended last years 13th Annual Mwape Peer Awards ceremony on Saturday, 17th September, 2022 and to all of you who assisted in making it a huge success. We are eagerly looking forward to the 2023, 14th Awards ceremony to be held on Saturday, 16th September, 2023.
It feels like just yesterday when we first met in Washington, D.C. for the inaugural event in October, 2010. Each year we see and meet people who come to celebrate with us, all those among us who make a difference in their respective fields and communities around the world.
Each year we have people from all walks of life and social economic statuses. We sit and mingle with homemakers, doctors, engineers, social workers, scientists, nurses, students, educators, leaders, politicians, diplomats, etc. We all attend to celebrate each other’s success.
Each year our team works tirelessly to make each event possible. Ruth and I are thankful to everyone including our sponsors without whom we wouldn’t be able to host the event. You are the building blocks of Mwape Peer Awards, Inc. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization we depend on the kindness and generosity of our donors and we encourage you, our friends to partner with us as donors.
