1. What is the main focus of Mwape Peer Awards?

To promote acknowledgement and recognition of the outstanding efforts by Africans at home and the diaspora.

2. When will the Award ceremonies be held this year?

September 19th, 2015 at InterContinental Hotel New York Times Square, USA.

3. How will the Award winners be chosen?

Award winners are chosen by the Selection Committee of fellow peers in each category.

4. Do you have to be nominated to attend?

No, anyone can attend. A $175.00 donation gets you an admission ticket, which includes dinner dance and open bar, plus giveaways.

5. Will James and Ruth be able to nominate anyone or participate in the selection of winners?

As awards sponsors, James and Ruth do not nominate anyone or participate in the selection process.

6. I am not in the US, but want to attend the awards ceremony. Can you help me get a visa?

Invitation letters are sent to those willing to attend the Awards ceremonies at their own expenses who needs a US visa to enter the US. The US Consulate makes the final determination as to who gets a visa or not.

7. I am not an African, can I still nominate an African co-worker or friend?

Yes, you can.

8. Can I nominate someone without letting them know that they are being nominated?

No. Blind nominations are not allowed. You will need some information and permission from the prospective nominee to fully complete the nomination.

9. Are members of the media be allowed to cover the award ceremonies?

Yes, media organization are always welcome.
